To Open Norwegian Exhibit H. E. Paul Koht Ambassador Is Entertained Prior To Exhibit Opening H. E. Paul Koht, Norwegian ambassador to the United States, and Mrs.

Koht, weekend visitors in Santa Fe, are guests of the board of trustees of the Folk Art Foundation. While in town. they are headquartering at La Fonda. The ambassador is here to open officially the Norwegian Tapestries Exhibition Monday night at the Museum of International Folk Art. Bruce Ellis was guide Saturday for a conducted tour of the various units of the Museum of New Mexico.

Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Girard were hosts for cocktails in honor of the distinguished visitors prior to dinner when they were guests of the Hon. and Mrs. Boaz Long.

Today, the ambassador and his wife were to be guests of Mr. and Mrs. David Davenport for skiing at the Santa Fe Basin returning to town in mid-afternoon. This evening John Gaw Meem, chairman of the Folk Art Foundaition board. and Mrs.

Meem and Mr. and V. Wasson have invited members of the boards of regents and of the foundation with their husbands or wives. for cocktails prior to the dinner which the two boards are giving for the ambassador and his wife at La Fonda. Monday, also, will be a full day for the visitors.

They are to be escorted to Los Alamos by Mrs. Joseph McKibbin and there will be taken through some of the laboratories. Dr. and Mrs. Norris Bradbury are to be hosts for luncheon.

On the return trip to Santa Fe, Mr. and Mrs. Koht and their party are to be guests of Mrs. John Burroughs for tea at the -GovernResidence. Doors at the Museum of International Folk Art are to open at 7:15 Monday evening with His Excellency formally opening the exhibit at 7:30.

In the receiving line will be Ambassador and Mrs. Koht Mr. and Mrs. Meem. Mrs.

Burroughs, Mayor and Mrs. Leo T. Murphy, W. J. Keller, chairman Auxiliary Tea Will Be Held At Ryals Home Mrs.

At the close of mid-semester examinations at the University of New Mexico, their daughter, Elaine, and the Misses Darla Wiley and Nancy Moyers flew to Phoenix to join the Owens for a week of fun in the sun.

She is member of the Boards of the Library of 'International Relations and of International House in Chicago and of the Board of Trustees of the International Folk Art Foundation in Santa Fe. She was a close friend of Miss Florence Dibell Bartlett, founder of the Folk Art Museum. After Mrs.

She attended Colorado Women's College in Denver her freshman year and then entered the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque where she is now completing her junior year in the study of art. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Mr. Kelly, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Daniel T. Kelly, received his bachelor of arts degree from Harvard University in 1956. His clubs were Pi Eta and Hasty Pudding. He then entered the University of New Mexico and was graduatededral, in law in 1959. He is now associated with the law firm of Gilbert White and Gilbert, Santa Fe.

The affianced couple are members of two well know Santa Fe families. The bride-elect's father is a writer on public affairs whose column appears widely in New Mexico. He is a former editor of the New Mexican. Mr. Kelly's father for many years headed Gross Kelly and merchantile firm which was tablished in New Mexico in territorial days.

He is presently active in affairs of the state museum, the supreme court building commission and as a director of several New Mexico corporations, The wedding date has been set for Saturday, Feb. 27, and will be solemnized at St. Francis CathSanta Fe. from Espanola High, School in 1958. She was a member there of the National Honor Society and was affiliated with the Order of Rainbow.

Presently Miss Steele is employed by the First National Bank of Santa Fe. Her fiance was graduated from McCurdy High School -with the class of 1951 and was active in sports during his school years. After serving four years with the U.S.' Navy, he is now employed by the State Highway Department. April 9 is the date chosen for the wedding which is to be solemnized at the Espanola EUB Church.
